I’ll have a fabulous meal with a side of Driving America, please.
Dinner guests on March 8 will get a tasty tour of our state as they stroll through the new Driving America exhibition during our springtime dining event – Local Roots: Touring the Mitten – in Henry Ford Museum. It’s the first time the event’s been held in the museum, and it promises to be a treat for food and auto enthusiasts alike.
If you’re too eager to wait for the dinner and want to sample some of what’s to come, try your hand at making a recipe or two at home. How about Smoked Michigan Shrimp and Whitefish Cakes or Maple Bread Pudding?
The Henry Ford continues to be committed to serving the best fare of the season and for this menu will integrate locally sourced ingredients from our network of farmers and producers. This dinner features Dearborn Sausage, the Stimson Farm, Lawson Farm, Francis Farm, Eat Local Eat Natural, Farmer Jon Goetz, Sanders, Sugarbush, New Holland Spirits, Red Cabbage & Beets, Guernsey Farms and Shernni’s Candy.
This popular event is created by The Henry Ford’s award-winning culinary team. Tickets are $70 per person. The cash bar opens at 6:30 p.m., and dinner is served at 7 p.m. Capacity for this event is limited, and reservations are required. To purchase tickets, please call (313) 982-6001.
