With Maker Faire setting up shop in The Henry Ford’s largest parking lot, we’re sure you have questions about parking. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!
For the whole weekend, parking is free! Guests can park in the Ford Motor Company lots off of Oakwood Blvd, right across the street from The Henry Ford. If you’re unsure of where to go, parking attendants will be on duty to direct you to the proper lot and also how to get to the fair. Handicap parking is available near the IMAX Theatre entrance and drop-off areas are near the museum clock tower entrance and the Greenfield Village entrance.
Looking for an alternative route? Pick up a shuttle ride from Fairlane Town Center. Follow the Maker Faire shuttle signs, park, and take a complementary shuttle ride down to the entrance of the fair. Now that’s what I call service!
Looking to go green? Maker Faire Detroit will have specially designated bicycle parking for those who ride to the Faire! Also, consider taking a SMART bus to Fairlane Mall, then take the shuttle to The Henry Ford.
For more information on parking, take a look at the Maker Faire Detroit webpage. We cannot wait to see everyone in 2 days! For more information on Maker Faire: look here!
