The biggest news this week is that framing has begun on the platform for the patio outside of Lamy’s Diner!

Have you noticed the new signs outside of the Driving America exhibit?

We’re getting excited about all of the new experiences and artifacts you’ll experience with this updated exhibit, and we hope these signs will start to get you excited as well!

Before long, you’ll be able to enjoy a cup of coffee, a piece of pie and other snacks from inside the diner itself or at seating on this newly-constructed patio. Pass the cream and sugar, please!

Framing is also nearly complete on the updated Drive-In Theater, and some of the walls are beginning to go up.

Otherwise, construction is (slowly) continuing across the exhibit’s platforms and walkways; there have been several weeks of ongoing projects, so updates on the exhibit might be a bit sporadic for a while – but be sure to keep checking back (or simply subscribe to the blog) for more updates!
